WINE WITH EXCEPTIONAL VINTAGE

Sardinia is probably the oldest wine-producing country in the Western Mediterranean, with proof of viniculture on the island at least three thousand years ago. One of the most ancient vine varieties, Cannonau, survives today – producing a smooth, robust red that perfectly complements the stronger flavours of Sardinian cuisine, such as game and pecorino cheese.
It is also said to enhance cardiovascular health, perhaps explaining why the locals are long-lived and happy! A visit to a local vineyard and cellar will convince you that Sardinia’s viniculture knowledge is still in wise hands today.
